National School Feeding Program

Our National School Feeding Program plays a vital role in addressing food insecurity in some of South Africa’s most marginalized communities. With a focus on nutrition, we provide meals that go beyond just filling empty stomachs—each meal is designed to nourish, energize, and support the cognitive and physical development of children. Proper nutrition is key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and we are committed to ensuring that children in these communities receive the sustenance they need to grow and succeed.

Located in Gauteng, our food processing facility is mechanized with state-of-the-art equipment for washing, peeling, dicing, and packaging, making it highly efficient. This allows us to produce approximately 24 million meals per month. We specialize in producing a highly nutritious soup, which is either frozen or dehydrated to support distribution in rural areas without electricity. The soup is customizable with various recipes and vegetable mixes, ensuring it meets the nutritional needs of the communities we serve.

In addition to the soup, our facility has large fridge and freezer capacity, enabling us to store and preserve large donations of perishable food items. Through dehydration and dry storage, we are able to store food without the pressure of it perishing quickly. This storage system allows us to carefully pack food into storage and distribute it when the right need arises, ensuring that it reaches the right places at the right time without the urgency of spoilage. The food has a 2 to 5-year shelf life and is regularly tested to ensure quality and safety.
