In January 2025, during the devastating floods that impacted the Kruger National Park region and surrounding fence line communities, Christian Aid Relief mobilised to support those cut off from regular food supply. Access to many areas was severely limited, and vulnerable communities faced immediate shortages of basic nutrition. In response, we delivered 524,000 meals into the affected areas, ensuring that families, staff, and surrounding communities received essential food during a time of crisis. Our teams worked alongside the Kruger national Park Volunteer Rangers, park officials and local partners to reach remote locations, bringing practical support where it was needed most.
